Victory Wooden Jigsaw - Seaside Traffic
£12.00 inc. tax
Description
Be transported back to the heyday of British family holidays. Back in the 1950's and early 1960's the staycation was far more popular and affordable than foreign holidays. This jigsaw shows how one could be transported to your seaside destination - car, bus, train or boat. Considering it's age this item has survived well. The box remains intact. There is some creasing at the corners of the lid, with some minor surface wear and adhesive tape remnants. The surface has taken on a grubby appearance which only adds to authenticate that used, vintage look. The original product label is still stuck to the side of the lid indicating this is part of the Topical Series (TP3) and the price tag showed it cost 5/11 new. The jigsaw is complete. It is made up of small, thick wooden pieces which are all in perfect condition and retain the original vibrant colouring. Depicting road transport, small coastal ships of the day as well as the steam locomotive "70001 The Lord Hurcomb" in green livery. The train was built in 1951 and withdrawn in 1966. A great piece for someone wanting to remember childhood holidays, a collector of vintage jigsaws or a rail enthusiast.
