Description
As it says on the box - "A very interesting and popular game of highly instructive and educational value." A geographical game of the Counties of England was popular for decades and was updated frequently. This particular edition dates from 1930. Considering it's age this item is in very good condition. The box with it's slip cover remains strong and intact. The slip has an orange design with black text. There is minimal rubbing and slight surface wear.  The box which houses the cards has some creasing due to use, also visible is the retailers stamp - W.B. Bradick Ltd of Gravesend. The 48 cards are slightly larger than normal playing card size. On the front of each card, but not the title cards, is a view of the chief towns in each county, their products and notable buildings beautifully printed in colours. On the reverse is a blue coloured map of England showing the regions covered by the series of cards. Complete and undamaged the cards are in good order. Also included is a double sided instruction leaflet which is creased and has one tear but still readable. A nice item for a collector of vintage card games, someone interested in educational games or for someone connected with one of the counties /towns mentioned.
