Description
Chew on a Super-kreme toffee while pondering the question "What is the name of the seven dwarves?". (Ans: Dopey, Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Happy and Doc). This item probably dates from the 1960's. Retaining it's vibrant colours, the lid depicts Walt Disney's version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves with scenes from the movie in the background. Through use and age the lid has suffered some minor surface scratches but this doesn't detract from the overall look and enhances that vintage appearance. Increasing it's appeal the original manufacturers product and price sticker is still attached in full. There is no evidence of any rusting. The simple hinge still works perfectly. The base of the tin has a gold coloured finish which is worn and again has some minor dents. Stamped into the base is the makers details "Made in England, Edward Sharp & Sons Ltd of Maidstone, Kent." On the inside the metal is highly polished but does have a few paint marks on the lid side. Uniquely this item is accompanied with the original quality guarantee paper slip which is in very good clean condition with minimal creasing. A great item for a collector of Disney merchandise, a collector of vintage tins or for someone interested in the history of Maidstone.
