There's not many people around the world, of a certain age, who hasn't played or had an item related to Pac-Man. The maze, action arcade game was developed by Namco Ltd of Japan in 1980. Released world-wide in December 1980 it was an instant success, and became one of the greatest video games of all time. On the back of the success came sequels, television shows and merchandising of all kinds. By 1982 merchandise sales in the USA exceeded $1 billion. Pac-man the board game was one such item. Dating from 1982 this game is in very good condition considering it's age. The box remains intact and strong. There is slight rubbing to the edges and corners, minor creasing and some surface marks. The colour remains as vivid as the day it was made. On the inside of the lid are printed the instructions. The folding, game board is clean and undamaged. Internally the blue plastic storage tray is in almost unused condition. All components are present, including two ghosts, four Pac-men (fully working), two dice and 60 plastic marbles. A great item for a collector of vintage board games, a vintage video game enthusiast, or for someone who wants to relive their childhood.
