Dominoes are traditionally perceived as a game played by old men down the pub but they can also be a fun family game too. The box is intact and remains strong. Although over 60 years old and constantly used, the box has minimal rubbing along edges and at the corners, while the surface has taken on a grubby appearance which adds to that authentic vintage look. The lid has a simple dominoes design on a yellow background. On the side written in pencil is the original 2/6 price. The full compliment of 28 wooden dominoes are in mostly good condition with a couple that are slightly damaged but still playable. Minature in size the dominoes are 2.5cm x 1.5cm. Black in colour and made from wood with a textured machined almost Art Deco inspired design on the reverse, the pips are countersunk and hand painted white. A great item for a dominoes player, a collector of vintage domino sets or vintage games or as a fun, child friendly game for those rainy days.
