Description
A classic vintage design. To overcome the bulkiness of the camera so it would fit into a pocket the lens was attached to a bellows construction which folded smoothly into the body of the camera. This Kodak design looks very early but in fact dates from the late 1950's. The features of this camera is an adjustable diaphragm, an adjustable Dakon II shutter and a focusing Anaston lens. The body release function still works as does the folding mechanism although it is a bit stiff. The camera body is made of lightweight metal mostly covered in a black leather-like covering. All the knods and buttons are made of plastic. The bellows are made of black, stiffened cardboard and remains undamaged. To the side is a strap handle. Overall this item is in very good condition with slight marks and scratches due to decades of use. The camera has not been tested photographically but all the mechanisms move and the optics appear in good condition. It comes with an aluminium lens accessory. What makes this camera outfit even more interesting is that it comes with the original packaging. The two piece box is heavily rubbed and worn but still remains intact and strong. There is surface wear, water marks and the previous owner has doodled on the box but this adds to the vintage appearence. Also included is a leaflet on using Kodak Verichrome Pan roll film, which is heavily creased, and the instruction booklet on how to use the camera which is also heavily creased and the outside cover is detached and in two parts. This is a lovely item for a collector of vintage cameras, as a display item or as a prop in a theatrical production.
