Need a safe and reliable remedy for your throat, chest and lungs? Then reach for your tin of Glycerine Lemon & Honey Pastilles by Warrick Brothers Ltd. The company existed in London from 1851 until 1966. This empty, rectangular tin probably dates from the 1950's (although could be earlier) and is in overall good condition. Made of a thin gauge of metal, there are a few dents but these are hardly noticeable. The hinge works well and the lid fits snuggly. The lid has retained the red, yellow and green colouration of the design, the text indicating the ingredients. There are one or two small scratches which gives that authentic vintage look. The base was guilded but much has been rubbed off due to usage over the decades. Internally there is a small patch of rust. A great item for a collector of vintage tins, for someone interested in medical momentoes or as used in a period display or prop.
