Yes Bob was our uncle and now you could have your very own "Bobs yr Uncle". A new card game that promises a riot of fun and a million laughs. The box is designed as a book in typical Art Deco red and yellow colouring, with associated text and a picture of Uncle Bob on the reverse. Dating from 1935 the box shows some surface wear and one side has split but overall it's in great shape for it's age. Inside, the set of 54 standard sized cards are in excellent clean, undamaged condition.  The illustration and colouring of the characters is wonderful as is the design on the reverse of the cards, the pack being specially designed by the artist, Frank H Simpson. There are 3 ways to win the game either by collecting 3 "uncle" cards, be the first to lay down your cards in order to complete one of 8 common childhood nursery rhyme verses or by collecting another set of 3 cards.  Please be aware that the last set of 3 cards could cause offence as they include terms that at the time of production were socially accepted but are now politically incorrect. The pack also comes with the instruction booklet and a piece of paper showing the nursery rhyme verses.  A great item for a card or vintage toy collector, someone interested in social history or as a decorative object.
