Description
The Coronation of King George VI on the 12 May 1937 ended an unsettled couple of years for the British monarchy. For this important event various official souvenirs were produced and this is one such item, a drinking glass. The transparent glass has a white transfer applied which shows various regalia as well as portrait photographs of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Considering this item is made of thin glass and also over eighty years old it still remains clean and undamaged. There are no maker's mark. A wonderful item for any collector of royal memorabilia, or collector of vintage drinking glasses or as part of a themed period display.
