Description
As it says on the box, "It's the card game that counts!" Basically the idea of the game is to collect seven cards as quickly as possible which add up to the total stated on the "Sum-It" card. Considering the great age of this item it has survived in excellent condition. The box is strong and intact. Apart from slight rubbing along edges and corners there is no other damage or fading of any kind. The white, black and yellow design is very simple but has that distinctive style of the 1950's - 1960's. The yellow card storage compartment slides out and is in pristine condition. The cards themselves are of standard playing card size. All 57 cards are present and are clean and unmarked. The faces show amounts in pre-decimalization £.s.d while om the reverse, in predominately red, is the name of the game as well as stylised floral motifs. The double-sided, folded paper instruction leaflet is also included, which is also in good condition apart from a small patch of discoloration. We recommend this game for those of you familiar with £.s.d as it may be confusing for those of us from the decimal age. A really fantastic item for a collector of vintage card games, as a display item in a themed room or for someone wishing to remember their childhood.
