"Emetts" Illustrated Tray by Wade
£15.00 inc. tax
Description
A Wade produced ceramic tray with a humorous and typically English eccentric illustration by Rowland Emmet. A popular and well known illustrator of his day, Rowland teamed up with Wade to design a series of illustrated ceramic trays in the late 1950's. This particular example is from the "Pastoral Interlude" series. It depicts a gentleman picking flowers from an eccentrically designed steam train and tinted in pastel shades. The tray itself is in very good condition with no chips and just a few slight scratches that are almost unnoticeable. This is a great chance to own a piece of inexpensive 1950's design or ideal as a gift for a ceramics or Wade collector, an enthusiast of 1950's design, as an item in a 1950's display or as a decorative item suitable for any room of the house.
