"We're the Sweeney and you're nicked!" The ever popular, hard hitting British police television series of the 1970's introduced the characters DI Jack Regan, DS George Carter and DCI Frank Haskins played by John Thaw, Dennis Waterman and Garfield Morgan respectively. This authorised merchandise was the first annual to be published for the series. As a hardback book, this annual of 40 years old, is in excellent condition. There is no fading, creasing or surface damage of any kind and the binding is still strong. The book is clean and unmarked inside and still displays it's original price of £1.10. The annual contains true crime stories, Cockney Slang dictionary, stories and cartoons, biographies of the characters and actors, photographs, a game and a quiz. A great item for a fan of The Sweeney, an enthusiast of 1970's television, as a prop in a 1970's themed room or for someone wanting to relive their childhood.
