Description
Tell Me .... well I will. This is a compact simple game anyone can play. This is an early edition of the popular game and possibly dates from the late 1930's. The thin cardboard cards have a category printed on them. A card is selected and the spinner, in this case the older metal type, is spun to randomly give a letter. It's then up to the players to name an item within the category which begins with the specified letter. Over the decades the box and contents have had a tough life. The lid is still strong and intact. The coloured illustration on the lid depicts three children in period dress playing the game. However there are pen marks, rubbing along edges and corners and the remnants of modern adhesive tape. The base of the box has large splits along the folds. The contents are complete and have been extensively played with. The yellow and blue spinner is in full working order but the cards are heavily creased. The instructions are printed on the inside the lid. Now very tired, this veteran game never gives up and is still playable. This piece of British gaming history deserves a quiet retirement. Ideal for a vintage games collector, or a decorative item.
