This item does exactly what it says on the box. A piece of apparatus that allows a new mother to express milk. Probably dating from the interwar period this item is in remarkably good condition. The black cardboard storage box remains intact with minimal rubbing at the corners. The simple, white paper label is stuck on the lid and while it has some water marks these do not affect the overall appearance and enhance that vintage look. The actual apparatus is composed of two distinct parts that are joined together. The brown, squeezable bulb is made from Indian Rubber and has "Inghams London" and the number "2" embossed upon it. Still in working order, there are no signs of any wear. The glass funnel incorporates a receiving bulb which can hold 2oz of milk. The glass is clear, clean and undamaged. A great item ideal for a collector of vintage medical equipment, as part of an interwar household display, or simply an item as a talking point.
