A rare piece of royal memorabilia commemorating the death of King George V on 20/01/1936. This item is 80 years old and is in very good condition. Mounted on a thick piece of card, the real monochrome photograph of the recently deceased royal is above the words "In Grateful Recollection of His Majesty King George V." The photograph is unmarked and in very good order however the cardboard mount has at some stage been folded and the crease can just be seen running horizontally below the photograph but doesn't detract from the look of the item, the corners have had a bump and two minuscule tears are at the base of the mount. On the reverse is a second piece of thick card that acts as a stand and upon which is printed the manufacturers details, Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd. The horizontal crease can be seen but doesn't effect the ability of the frame from standing and there is some foxing appearing. A wonderful item ideal for a collector of Royal Memorabilia, or a collector of Tuck made items or as a prop within a themed display or room.
