A genuine piece of Royal Memorabilia dating from around 1936. It celebrates the life and the new reign of King Edward VIII (1936-1936). Considering it is 80 years old it is in amazing condition. The front cover, on which the original owner has written her name, has retained it's vivid colour. There is some rubbing along the spine, with a small tear and the two staples have rusted but haven't discoloured any of the pages. Throughout the pages remain intact, clean and unmarked. The text describes in depth his life so far and the start of his reign as King (before he abdicated later in the year to marry Wallis Simpson) and is beautifully illustrated with a great plethora of sepia photographs many of which are military in nature. A truly wonderful item ideal for a collector of Royal Memorabilia, or for a student of Royal or early 20th Century British history, as an item in a late 1930's themed display or themed house or simply as a very interesting piece to read.
