Hancock's Half Hour Scripts

Description
Hancock's Half Hour was, and still is, one of the best loved comedy shows from radio and television during the 1950s and 1960s. It had everything to make it successful: a talented troupe of actors including Sid James, June Whitfield and headed by the late, great Tony Hancock, and written by two of the greatest comedy writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson. This authorised book was published in 1974. For it's age this hardcover book is in extremely good condition, being clean inside and out, the binding remains strong and intact, there is no fading but has been price clipped. The book contains an introduction by Peter Black with biographical details about Tony Hancock, five full scripts including The Blood Donor and each illustrated by many monochrome shots taken from the television programme and finally finishes with an interview with Galton and Simpson. A great item for a Hancock fan, an enthusiast of vintage television comedy, as an example of great writing for a budding scriptwriter or simply as a very funny book to read.
