Nothing produces more memorabilia than a royal event. The Coronation of 1953 was a bright light during years of darkness so production was on a vast scale. We tend to think of commemorative items as being made from ceramic or glass but in this case plastic was utilised. The beaker is made from a hard pink plastic. Incredibly for something over 60 years old it remains in perfect condition. A coloured transfer of the the Queen's initials, the Royal Standard and Union Flag is on one side. A great piece for a collector of Royal memorabilia, a collector of vintage plastic objects or as part of a period display.
