Colman's Mustard Tin - Reproduction
£5.00 inc. tax
Description
Not everything looks as it seems. In appearance this item looks as though it is a genuine Victorian mustard tin but in fact this is a detailed reproduction dating from 1985. The octagonal tin is a pink-orange colour with gilding on the illustrations. Typically Victorian in style the black illustrations are of Windsor Castle, a rosy cheeked country girl and the Bull's Head trade mark, along with the coats of arms of more illustrious clients such as the King of Italy and the Court of Holland. The colour has faded due to the action of the Sun, in fact it is more faded on one side than the other. The body of the tin is rubbed with a few small dents. The lid has a more pronounced dent and rubbing. Overall the appearance of the tin closely resembles that of an old genuine Victorian and so would be ideal for a themed room, a display or a production.
