When cars were cars - the smell, the noise, the breakdowns and they all looked different. This item dates from the early 1970's and depicts 12 cars of the era : Vauxhall Viva SL, Hillman Avenger, Vauxhall VX4/90, Ford Cortina GT, Rolls-Royce, Ford Escort, Austin 1300 GT, Hispano Suiza 1912, Rover 2000, Volkswagen VW 1300, Sunbeam Rapier and Jaguar XJ6. The box is strong and intact. There are large creases running from the corners and rubbing along the edges but this adds to that vintage look. The lid retains it's vivid colouring. The bilingual instructions are printed on the reverse of the lid. The contents are complete. The cardboard pieces have kept their colour although a few have creases from the decades of use. A great item for a collector of vintage games, a motor car enthusiast, as a decorative item suitable for any room or as originally intended as a simple but fun family game that everyone can play.
