Buzby Soap
£5.00 inc. tax
Description
"Make someone happy with a phone call" was the catchphrase of Buzby, the mascot of Post Office Telecommunications later becoming British Telecom and appeared in a series of television commercials in the 1970's - 1980's voiced by Bernard Cribbins. This character soap, an official piece of Post Office Telecommunication merchandise, was from a recently acquired vintage soap collection which was put together during the 1970's to early 1980's. Considering the item is over 35 years old it has survived well. The box remains intact and strong. There is no fading or discolouration but there is some rubbing along edges, and heavy creasing caused by the crushing of the upper part of the box. The soap is wrapped in tissue for protection. Moulded in orange-brown soap, it is well defined and in perfect condition. An ideal item for a novelty soap collector, for a collector of household products, a collector of television or Post Office memorabilia, for someone connected with the Post Office/BT, or a Buzby/Bernard Cribbins fan.
