Generations of British children have sat down and watched Blue Peter. For sixty years this classic BBC programme produced for children has been on our television screens. Dating from 1969, when the show was produced by the formidible Biddy Baxter and presented by Valerie Singleton, Peter Purves and the late great John Nokes, this authorised publication takes a look behind the cameras at how the show was put together and televised. The small, hardback book contains a wonderful collection of monochrome and coloured photographs covering all aspects of programme production. Considering it's age this item is in overall good condition. The spine has some bumping and creasing due to use of five decades which adds to the vintage appearence, while on the back cover there is some minor surface damage. Internally the pages are in good, clean and unmarked condition and has also not been price clipped. The original 1969 price was three shillings. A great item for any Blue Peter collector, or someone interested in classic Britisih television or even someone connected with the show.
