Description
The popular bear from Darkest Peru was created by Michael Bond and voiced by veteran actor Michael Horden in the 1970's animated television programme. This Paddington Bear character soap, an official piece of Film Fair Ltd merchandise, was from a recently acquired vintage soap collection which was put together during the 1970's to early 1980's. The original owner has written the date 23/4/79 on the front. Considering it is over 35 years old it has survived remarkably well. The box remains intact and strong, there are no tears, fading or discolouration but there is some rubbing along edges and some slight creasing which adds to that vintage look. The soap is wrapped in thick tissue for protection. Moulded in orange soap, it is well defined and in perfect condition. An ideal item for a novelty soap collector, for a collector of household products, a collector of cartoon memorabilia or a Paddington Bear fan.
